Semillon is the show piece variety from the Hunter Valley. 2017 was a positive year in the Hunter for the white varieties (as well as the red). Toward the end of January 2017, there were a number of rain events in what was, overall a very hot January. This brought forward harvesting a little earlier than usual to ensure the preservation of the fruit’s natural acidity. This wine exhibits straw in colour with a lime hue. On the nose there is an aroma of lemon, lime and grapefruit which is exacerbated during tasting. Depending on how you like your ‘sem’ this one will drink at least to 2037. We have had been inundated with compliments of those who have paired this wine with seafood and spicy shellfish.

In loving memory of our maternal and paternal Grandmothers, who by coincidence shared the same name. One a bold matriarch with strong character and conviction who was ahead of her time. The other a loving and gentle lady with a generous heart. Both of them live on through our families and now through our wine.
